Matt Damon has been cast to play Mark Watney in the upcoming movie adaptation of your book. If you could pick ANY actor to play Watney, who would you choose?

Andy Weir I'm very happy with the choice of Matt Damon. I also think Bradley Cooper or Chris Pratt could have done a good job at it.

Andy, as a writer who does a lot of research I was blown away by The Martian So what's your background and how the heck did you get all the science in there? Terrific book. I recommend it often to people as Tom Hanks in Castaway on Mars. Robert Dugoni
