It's great to have an outlet for all the thoughts and ideas that randomly pop up in my head. It's great knowing that any random notion, even just an image, a feeling, a smell, can be the seed for a novel, a story, or an article. Nothing gets thrown away when you're a writer, it all just gets folded into the raw material you'll one day use for a project.
