Fabienne
Fabienne asked Mord McGhee:

Hiya, I was wondering, are you a historian or just passionate about the subject? I would love to write historical stories too (WW2 centred) but even after about 18 years of interest I still feel I would mess up stuff... Any tips? Thanks

Mord McGhee Good question!
I try to be passionate about all subjects... however, I read all types of historical books. (I like introspective book about war written by the men and women that were there). I also travel quite a bit to see "first-hand" and live the moment in my head.
I'm no historian.... but I do love history!
As far as the Ripper for Murder Red Ink: I've been reading and investigating since I saw a television show in the late 1970s.
I've always been fascinated by unsolved mysteries.

Tips for telling a tale about true life events:
Let the characters tell the story!
If they mess it up they may have a reason... like they're in a WAR and not everything can be translated in a perfect way.
