Thank you for your kind reply Mr Modesitt and it now shows you are writing amazing fantasy/science fiction/historical fiction your editor will be having nightmares as you blow all these genres apart with another novel? I've really only had two editors for my novels and, interestingly enough, both the late David Hartwell and Jen Gunnels have Ph.D.s and the kindness/wisdom to help me write what I write better rather than attempting to change it.

I love your writing, I have many of your books! I love the Corean Chronicles! Did you intend to keep us 'in the dark' to the reasons why Dainyl did the things he did? I felt he had an understanding on how the world worked that wasn't shared, he acted on intuition, but didn't go back to analyse what was going on. Do you intentionally just tell the story/actions and allow us to fill in what motivates a character?

I just finished reading Mongrel Mage and Outcasts of Order (both wonderful!), and I'm very pleased to learn you have a third book coming out so that Beltur, Jessyla, Lhordaraak, Tulya, and Taelya can reestablished Haven. I have a vague idea or theory, but I wondered if you could tell us more precisely when Beltur's tale fits in the overall timeline or history of this world?

I read somewhere that you said you like to write your worlds and societies with an understanding of how things came to be that way throughout history, not just as a point-in-time, this is how things are, way. I was curious if you plan to provide a glimpse into how the alectors in Corean Chronicles reached their peak? Because all we ever see is their society/race declining and declining with each world-leap.
