Why is your book named Stone Rain? Nobody in our book club could figure out what it was in reference to. We all loved the book though. this is the third one of your books we've read now.

It is pretty obscure, I must admit. Near the end of Chapter 16, a Doobie Brothers song is heard with the lyrics "the rain that fell upon my stone..."
In the UK, years later, we retitled this book Bad News, so that the four Zack novels would have Bad in the title. When the book originally came out in the US back in 2007, my publisher had decided not to do "Bad" titles for books 3 and 4. My editor came up with that. Upon reflection, we could. had done better.
