Goodreads asked Erich Krauss:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Erich Krauss For me, the best thing about being a writer is the escape. Even when traveling the world, there would be times when monotony would kick in. When I was a child and I told my father I was bored, he'd always say, "Take your clothes off and play with them." It was his way of telling me that being bored is just a state of mind. Once writing entered my life, I learned that he was right. Even on the blandest of days, I can always find some new adventure to go on when trapped in the house.
