My children are Elli and Miles (born '95 and '98) ;-) It wasn't deliberate, but we realised after the fact that the reason we loved the names so much was probably because my husband and I are both huge fans of yours. I wonder if you know of many child namesakes of characters? I must say I would quite like grandchildren named Penric and Desdemona but I can't quite see the kids co-operating with that ;-)

Specifically, how do you translate your experience with poetry into your writing? The 5 Gods stuff is sometimes so stunningly lyrical that I had to wonder. I'm reading Aniara by Harry Martenson and it made me think of the Cetagandans taking art to its limits.
