Goodreads asked Lara Morgan:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lara Morgan I don't believe in writer's block. If I can't write it's because something is wrong with what I'm doing and usually it's to do with a plot that is just not working and I'm trying to force it, I'm overthinking it or I've gotten lost. I deal with it by first making another cup of tea and rummaging for chocolate, then I give myself permission to free write. By this I mean I step away from the computer and go to pen and paper and just start scribbling, anything that comes to mind, no matter how truly awful it might be and it might not be that day or the next but eventually I will find my way back just by allowing myself the freedom to write badly, to make up ridiculous plot angles and follow my characters down all the rabbit holes. There's something about the pen and the paper which reconnects me to the soul of the story.
