Paul, I want to know what you think of the horror writers I’m reading right now. They are Brian Keene, Richard Laymon, and Jack Ketchum. I love Urban Gothic by Keene; The Cellar by Laymon; and Ketchum’s Off Season and its sequel Offspring. Do you like those 3? How about any of those books specifically? I would love to know what you think. Did they influence you at all? I still LOVE Head Full of Ghosts!

Brian is a dear friend I enjoy his work. I haven't read any Laymon, Ketchum was a brilliant writer but I couldn't always go there with him. I really like his short stories, The Lost, and Red, and I tried the Girl Next Door but couldn't finish. not because it wasn't brilliantly done, it was just too much. Maybe I'll revisit one day.

Hello, Mr. Tremblay. I just finished A House Full of Ghosts and was completely floored. It is my favorite book I've read in the last 3 or 4 years. I can't wait to delve into more of your work. I was wondering what kind of writing process you go through when writing a novel and if it varies compared to your short fiction?
