Hello! Your books are so engaging to read! I'm wondering what inspires you to write these novels/plots?

Linwood Barclay That's a very big question and one I can hardly answer here. The short answer is I have wanted to write stories since I was about 10 years old. The even shorter answer, these days, is: Contracts. I find contracts very inspiring, because if you do not honour them, and you do not write the book, they do not pay you. All the best.

Hi Linwood, I just finished reading Trust Your Eyes & have read all those before it and thoroughly enjoyed them. In TYE, there was a lot going on, with some big themes, but it didn't feel like too much. I'm just wondering if you ever worry about putting too many different aspects into a story (potentially confusing the reader), or not enough, and how you manage to find the right balance?
