Hello, Christine What is the best strategy for publishing my first short story? I am currently writing a thriller with the word count of approximately 8,000 words. I have done some research that shows e-books are more popular in 2022 than printed books. Mind you, the research was specifically for the category of short stories, and novellas. As an experienced author, do you think this is true?

Christine Feehan I am probably not the best person to ask. I've been published for decades so I don't really research new trends. Any short stories or novellas I write usually go into an anthology and all of that is arranged with my publisher. I'm not sure where you'd start with a short story. You may want to reach out to someone who is self published. There are many wonderful authors out there who are independently published and who market themselves beautifully.
