Hi Steven, how did you develop your, for lack of a better term, choppy/stream of consciousness writing style for your characters' thoughts? I haven't seen any other authors do that (not to the extent you do at least), but I love it. It makes it seem like everything is happening in much of a 'real-time' scenario. Was there another author with a similar style that inspired you? Or have you always written like that?

Dallas, thanks for the intriguing question. I can't think of anyone who influenced my writing in that way. I just tried to continually ask what the character would think or how they would believably respond to a situation, and then write down what I heard. I'm glad you enjoy it. Happy Holidays.

First off I wanted to say how big of a fan I am of yours. "Every Crooked Path" was the best book I have read in many, many years. It was probably also one of the hardest books for me to read due to the sensitive subject matter but you handled it masterfully. I was wondering if you ever thought about writing a book with another author? And if you could choose any other to write a book with, who would it be?

Hi Steven, a spin off series about Tessa might do well ... especially if she'll need to ask Patrick for help, reversing their roles ... but as I'm not quite finished with Check Mate yet (another 100 or less pages to go, good stuff), this idea might not be a good one after all. Viable?
