I grew up on books that all made LGBTQ look like it was a sin, so seeing my favorite character from my favorite childhood series come out as gay was wonderful, especially now that he's gonna be having his own book. I'm glad that was helpful for you. It's tough enough to be a kid. It's super tough when you feel different from everyone else and all alone because of who you are. That's what Percy Jackson is all about: anyone can be a hero. Our differences are our strengths! And, of course, you're not alone.

Hi Rick, as an elementary school teacher I’ve always loved how diverse the characters in your novel are – ethnicity, gender, and learning differences. I especially love that through Percy readers are able to see how students with dyslexia and/or ADHD think differently and creatively. My question is, will any characters in The Sword of Summer have learning differences?

My question is, what is the stoll brothers canon sexualities? ive heard that connor is bi alot lol : P !
