I had no idea what to expect really, or if I would even be able to write something that long that had a coherent story line! I learned as I went, planning to a degree and then just plunged into writing. Surprisingly, I found it quite easy to write the story once I got going, but what I found excruciating was making myself share what I’d written. To start off with I didn’t tell anyone (not even my husband) that I was writing a book, as I was embarrassed and thought people would think it was a stupid idea, or read it and think it was dreadful!
