Rick Riordan I am not sure I remember the answer, honestly. It was a suitably bright color. Also, when I am stressed, I tend to eat orange food, much like Percy eats blue food. I have no idea why. I don't even realize I'm doing it most of the time. That may be what prompted me to choose orange for the high-stress environment of camp!
