How do you get inspired to write?

Heather Graham People and places inspire me. I'd never been to Sleepy Hollow until a few years ago--and I instantly knew it was a perfect place for the Krewe to visit. The Betrayed came from the visit. There are cities I just love and spend a lot of time in. I do a benefit conference in New Orleans every year, so, yes, a lot of Nola! Also, people--I have a friend who is a "fabricator" for Legacy studios who works with creating costumes and creatures and, of course, had to change her a bit to become one of my heroines! History--great stories!--are great inspiration. It's true that we can never write stranger things than have really happened!
