Faith Marshall
Faith Marshall asked Melanie Cellier:

Why is The Princess Companion told in first person and The Princess Fugitive told in third person? (I just finished The Princess Fugitive and LOVED IT, by the way! The High King brought tears to my eyes and made me feel hope and love in real life, and I am impressed with the character arch you gave Ava.) And are other books told mostly in first or third person?

Melanie Cellier With my first series (The Four Kingdoms), I wrote each book in whichever point of view felt right for that book. As a result, the series is fairly evenly split between first and third person. However, I think having continuity is probably less confusing for readers, so from my second series onwards, I decided to choose one point of view and stick with it. So my subsequent series are all in first person. I hope that's helpful, and I'm so glad you enjoyed The Princess Fugitive!
