Alex asked Stuart Gibbs:

Hello Mr. Gibbs, I am a huge fan of your books and you inspired me to write my own. ( My mother is very grateful because I would NEVER write before.) I have ideas, but when I go to write the details I get stuck. Do you know a good way to write details, and are there certain types of words you should avoid? Thanks!

Stuart Gibbs Honestly, you don't really have to write a whole lot of details to get your idea across. If you find that you're not coming up with many details, then maybe that's your style. Just write what comes naturally to you. Remember, you're going to do more than one draft. If you feel like it needs details, then you can add details later. Maybe you'll have a better idea of what to do after you've written more of your story.
