Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Liesl Shurtliff RUMP (which is my first and most recent book to be published) was inspired by Grimms' Rumpelstiltskin, a wonderful tale with many mysteries and unanswered questions. I got many of my ideas from trying to answer those questions in unexpected ways. Also names. Names are very interesting things to me, these titles we give humans. I've always been curious about how they affect our lives and personalities, so I decided to create a world where a name would determine a person's destiny. I very quickly combined that with Rumpelstiltskin, since that's a tale where a name is very important. Those two ideas were the magic combination that brought forth RUMP: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin.
