My idea for Can This Be Real initially came from a story call from MLR Press - they were looking for "foodie" stories. I always try to turn things on their head - so instead of a traditional man-falls-in-love-with-chef story I wondered what would happen if a chef fell for a guy who couldn't taste his food.

Last year you wrote an absolutely lovely story called Pride of the Veld. The last words were, "...to be continued." I'd love to see these three get their HEA - together, of course. Are you planning a sequel, and when might we be able to read some of it? And, if you need beta readers, I'll happily volunteer for the position.
