Food is such a prominent theme in your books and your life (I love the Martha Stewart at your dinner party story). Do you think that the food culture in the UK differs from that in the US, and if so, how?
Jane Green
I have lived here for almost 15 years so it's hard for me to say, although everyone I know in England cooks, all the time (and English food is now wonderful), and few women I know in the States cook - they tend to buy prepared food, feed the kids pizza etc.

Fortunately, I have been able to read a copy of Saving Grace through Netgalley - great book by the way, have recommended to my sisters - and I was wondering what kind of process did you go through with writing Grace's back story between her and her mother, especially regarding the mental health issues?
