Goodreads asked Vikrant Adams:

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Vikrant Adams If I had the opportunity to travel to any fictional book world, it would be the enchanting realm of Middle-earth from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings." This epic fantasy world is rich in history, populated by diverse and captivating creatures, and brimming with magical landscapes.

Upon arrival in Middle-earth, my first instinct would be to explore the idyllic Shire, home to the hobbits. I would relish in the simplicity and tranquility of their way of life, indulging in hearty meals and engaging in leisurely activities like gardening and storytelling.

Next, I would embark on an adventure to Rivendell, the Elven refuge nestled amidst majestic waterfalls and lush forests. In this haven of wisdom and beauty, I would seek the guidance of the wise Elrond and immerse myself in the rich lore and ancient knowledge preserved within the elven libraries.

From there, I would journey through the treacherous Misty Mountains, experiencing the awe-inspiring landscapes and encountering formidable creatures such as trolls and giant eagles. I would marvel at the magnificent city of Minas Tirith, with its towering white walls and breathtaking views, and pay homage to the fallen warriors at the Tomb of the Kings.

Of course, no visit to Middle-earth would be complete without venturing into the heart of Mordor. Although it is a land overshadowed by darkness and ruled by the malevolent Sauron, I would feel compelled to witness the daunting sight of Mount Doom, where the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

Throughout my journey, I would seek the company of the Fellowship of the Ring, sharing in their triumphs and supporting them in their battles against the forces of evil. I would offer my aid to the valiant Aragorn, the clever Gandalf, and the courageous Frodo, knowing that the destiny of Middle-earth hinges on their success.

In this fictional realm, I would not only indulge in the beauty and grandeur of the landscape but also strive to learn from the inhabitants, embracing their values of courage, loyalty, and resilience. I would immerse myself in the rich tapestry of Middle-earth, forging lasting friendships and leaving a small mark of my own on this extraordinary world.

Ultimately, my time in Middle-earth would be a grand adventure of self-discovery, a chance to witness the triumph of good over evil, and a journey that would inspire me as a writer to craft stories that resonate with the same depth and wonder found within the pages of Tolkien's masterpiece.
