Hi Rick! I’ve been a huge fan for years, since my best friend showed me the Percy Jackson series about 10 years ago. I was wondering, every author or actor etc. has regrets of films or books they did, do you have any books you regret? If you had to choose one book you wish you could’ve made better, which would it be?

I would re-do every book if I were doing them today, because I am a different person now, the world is different, the readership is different, but as an editor told me once, "A book is never done, it's just due." You have to turn it in and hope for the best, even though I would keep revising it forever if I could. I just have to try to do the best job I can at the time I am writing it, because once a book is out, it's pretty much frozen in time. You can revise electronic versions, sure, or new printings, but 99% of the copies people will read are the ones that came out when the book was first published.

Hello Rick! How do you think Ares would react to one of his children not following in his footsteps? I'd love to write a fic on it, exploring the relationship between a parent and a kid who is fighting with expectations. Do you think there's a possibility Ares would eventually be supportive? Or is there no hope for a bond there? Thank you for all that you do!
