First, thank you for all you've written, especially the Vorkosigan Saga; Aral and Jole and Cordelia's relationship meant a lot to me; I've been in a similar position to Jole's re: Aral (age, power, love), and "but he's ooold! it's immoral! how dare?" But re: the Betan herms. I know they're not intersex, but I am, and reading them meant a lot to me. I'd been wondering if there was any early Moravian influence there?

First, I'm glad my work found resonance for you!
I'm afraid I don't know what "Moravian influence" might be. ??
Thanks for getting the difference between my (presently) fictional bioengineered herms, and natural intersex, tho' you would seem to be in a good position to appreciate the nuance. A lot of my future biotech echoes concerns of today, part of why readers find it interesting, but the science does make a difference. Though at the rate biology is progressing, I don't think we'll have to wait 1000 years for some of my SF speculation to become real. (Let's hope it's the nicer parts, and not the scarier ones!)

Lois McMaster Bujold:
If the Bastard’s Hell isn’t a place, but the process of a soul being stripped of all personal information and being boiled down into pure chaos, and demons are said to have escaped from the Bastard’s Hell, does that mean that demons come from the souls taken in the death miracle that find a host before dissolving into nothingness? If that’s the case, perhaps Quadrenes have some justification against the Bastard?

For legal reasons, do you have to stay completely clear of fan-fiction related to your books/novellas? I'm wondering if you ever get a glimpse of their canonical and non-canonical writing? There are some quite inspired fan authors that we readers have the freedom to enjoy. I wonder what restrictions you have.
