I just finished listening to the series via audible and feel that more questions have been left than answered by Terminal but seeing your other responses contacted the publisher as I really would be interested in another book. But one thing I did notice was that between Spiral and Terminal Hermione's name changed to Alex, curious to know why that change occurred?

I'm afraid I'm to blame for the series being so open ended as I had more I wanted to say, but Chicken House believed the series should be wound up in book six. I just couldn't find it in me to resolve all the different strands and continued working on a seventh book, which then came to a stop when life (and Summerhouse Land) intervened. Maybe one day ...
And the two different names came about because I'd used the name Hermione as a placeholder while I was writing (it's the name of the partner of an old friend). The name stuck and remained in the UK edition, but my American editor objected furiously because she felt it might be seen as a sleight against the Potter series - hence it was changed to Alex for the US releases. No sleight was ever intended!

Hi Roderick, I have one quick question. I've been trying to get my hands on copies of all the books, but some of them (especially the latter two) are close to impossible to find at a reasonable price. Do you plan on doing a reissue with the other books like you did with the first one? (Or at least with Deeper, I need that book :)). Thank you.

i finished the 6th book in the series a few weeks ago and i cant understand why the publishers wouldn't want to continue publishing your books. that's not an ending, its an opportunity to make an entire follow up series like the percy jackson books. whats your opinion on that idea?
