Book-related: was there anything that had you stumped during the writing process? (Maybe material on a certain topic was hard to come by, or no matter what you did, or dialogue just wasn't working out for a scene, stuff like that.) Not PM-related: what's your all-time favourite movie? (Obviously, you don't have to answer this one, it's just something I ask everyone.)

Just to start off, I want to say how fantastic your books are. I have never been a big book person but after starting on Sins of Empire (started here now going back through the rest) the characters and story are something that keeps me wanting to come back for more. I wanted to ask two questions really: What books have inspired your writing style? Would you ever think of doing a Ka-Poel back story book?
