Reading book 8, Eric makes it pretty clear that building a sun is among the last jobs he’d ever want to do. Understandable, he is a vampire after all. But it got me wondering - in an Earth timeline that Eric was living in what would be some of the absolute last professions he’d want to choose? Being a garbage man? A professional wrestler? A Doctor? What does he most dread as a day (or night) job?

I think the worst sort of job would be something mindlessly repetitive. Garbage man? That offers at least some variety. Dumping a can or hoisting a bundle, dealing with traffic, pedestrians, and/or last-second rushes to the curb. Pro wrestler? Eric is a decent performer. He could do it and play his part as The Iron Whip (given he's thin and strong).
But don't put him on a factory line doing work a robot could do. If his job is to "tighten nut D4 and rotate assembly J16 ninety degrees," he'll put a robot in his place.
There's nothing wrong with a quiet, low-stress job. It lets him take things easy and think. But if you're going to bore him, he'll automate it an not bother to come in.

Hey Garon! I'm on book 2 of the series, and literally everyone i have grown to care for (Minus Erik) have died and been replaced. I really love your style of writing, and i love the world and magic systems you have created. However, i was wondering if the characters introduced from books 3-6 stick around? I've reached a point where i don't form any attachments to Erik, as i expect them to die before the book ends.

I'm so depressed about Bronze. Also I got a Dark Tower series ending vibe from reading the initial book. It seems like Eric eventually goes back in time to original Earth to set his future up, and Eric will simple go around in a very very long but endless circle.
First, I miss Bronze. Is she really gone?
Second, am I even remotely close on your planned ending?
