Hello, First, I'd like to thank you for the many hours of enjoyment your books have given me. I truly appreciate your thought-provoking plots and relatable characters. Then I'd like to ask you a question. A number of your characters seem to have a reasoned agnosticism, and I've gathered the impression that you share a similar view. Is that correct?

L.E. Modesitt Jr. I've often described my beliefs as Anglican agnosticism, because that's the faith I was raised in and because I still love the King James liturgy, but I don't know enough to know if there is a deity. From what I've seen there's little evidence of a personal deity, yet the mystery of the universe remains.
