Emi asked Robin Stevens:

Hi Robin, I have finished “The Ministry of Unladylike Activity” a couple of days ago. And I’ve been wondering ever since: was it inspired by Agatha Christie’s “Ordeal of Innocence” or not? Thanks in advance for your reply! — Emily (Oh, and another question. It is rather bold, but… if I sent you my detective short story, you probably wouldn’t read it, would you?)

Robin Stevens Good question! I don't think I was specifically inspired by that book, but I've read it several times, and so I probably was thinking of it in some respect. The book that I was more clearly using was Death Comes as the End - which on the surface has nothing to do with MUA, but actually has a lot of similarities ...

I'm always so thrilled to read the things that fans have created. I can't give detailed feedback on anything, just because of the amount of mail I get, but it makes me so pleased to look at it!
