Lois McMaster Bujold:
Is there any hope that the Vorkosigan books will be printed again? I would love nice copies of my favorites but all I can find are used copies in poor condition.

NESFA Press has the first 8 or so VK books in nice smallish hardcovers, still in print. You can get them (signed) from Uncle Hugo's Science Fiction Bookstore, and some through Dreamhaven Books & Comics. You may also be able to order directly from NESFA. (Which is the New England Science Fiction Association, in full.)
Uncle Hugo's also carries new copies of a lot of my older titles -- you should check their catalog. http://www.unclehugo.com/prod/ah-bujo... You can email the store to inquire about any you don't see there.
There has never been a uniform VK set apart from my indie e-volumes. (Which you can see on that poster to my left in my Goodreads PR photo.)
Amazon, I note, generally has its descriptions of used books for sale stating their condition; "Like new" is probably a useful descriptor though one is of course dependent on the reliability of the sub-vendor providing same.
In general, reprints of backlist books only happen if there is either a big new frontlist book offered expected to sell really well, to carry them in its wake, or a big media adaptation. The currents odds against both are in the "hit by a meteorite" range.

Rereading _A Civil Campaign_ for the Nth time, I wondered about whether you had already developed the plot of that book while you were writing _Komarr_ -- the latter story makes such brilliant use of the plot elements set up in the earlier one. Did you have the main plot of ACC laid out when writing Komarr?

Is it O.K. (a good idea) for me to give my main characters in my dystopian novel nick names that reflect each character's personality. Grumpy Gill, Hot Head Pete, etc.? (these are not the actual names I've chosen.) only samples.
Response would be greatly appreciated. Please help me from making a mess of it. Thanks. Mike Lee
