Danielle Ste. Marie
Danielle Ste. Marie asked Frances Mayes:

I have attached myself to your imagery of the yellow table under the tree in "Tuscan Sun". For me, it evokes daydreams of simple meals taken leisurely dosed with plenty of smiles and light hearts. Is there an actual yellow table? What did it mean to you?

Frances Mayes A symbol of hospitality and feasts. We had a long wooden table in my yard in Georgia and I've always remembered fondly the parties my parents had at that laden table. My yellow table still exists but a workman spilled tar on it a few years ago so it's retired from service and I have a stone topped table now.
