I know that the Kane Chronicles film with Netflix got cancelled *sad face*, but would you ever consider revisiting them as movies or a TV show in the future with another company? Especially now that PJO has done so well with Disney? Also, thank you for your amazing books - I'm an English major (like you!) and I would never have found my love for reading or writing if it weren't for you and Percy.

We're working on next steps. I'm not sad about trying to develop it at Netflix, though. No hard feelings! We learned a lot in that process and met some great people. One of the things I learned was how common it is for a project to go through development for years and never see the light of day. It's a bizarre business model to me, but SO much money is spent developing and writing and planning projects that ultimately never get made. I guess it's sort of like research and development for pharmaceutical companies. They spend billions, knowing that most of their drugs won't make it out of testing, but still hoping that some of them will be successful. Anyway, stay tuned for news on Kane as soon as we know anything definite...

Rick, I recently finished The Hidden Oracle, and loved the inclusion of gay/bi characters featuring heavily in the main cast, as opposed to having representation through some random background character pushed into a story to draw in queer readers. This felt very natural in comparison. But, as a lesbian teenager, I was wondering if you had any plans to add queer female characters in any of your stories? Thank you!

There has always been something that has been on my mind. I know that in the Percy Jackson universe, Roman and Greek gods exist, as well as Norse Gods, in the Magnus Chase series. In the Magnus Chase books, Thor once made a comment about how he challenged Jesus to a fight, but he got stood up. Would you ever make a book/write a short story on Percy and his friends facing the horrors of Christianity's Mythology?
