Roseanna M. White They are loosely connected, but they can be read as stand-alones, especially the two you're reading/considering. I have some cameo appearances of characters from the Ladies of the Manor in the Codebreakers (and a few off-handed mentions of them that would mean nothing to you if you didn't know them already in Shadows Over England), but nothing that would impact the plot. However, the 3rd POV character (hero's little sister) in book 2 of Shadows Over England, A SONG UNHEARD, is then the heroine of book 1 in the Codebreakers, THE NUMBER OF LOVE, so if you start where you are and then go on to Codebreakers, you'll be "in the know" for that one. ;-)
