The geographical settings you write about are so drastically different from one another. Do you have a connection to these locations you right about? Tami Hoag I've lived or spent time in most of the places I write about, although, I had never been to Louisiana when I wrote my first several books set there. That was place that intrigued me, and I did a tremendous amount of research to get the details right. Eventually, I was able to go and spend time there, which is always the best way to get a real feel for a place.
