Lee asked Tami Hoag:

How to you develop your stories? Do you use any tools to develop stories, plot, and characters? Advice for inspiring writer? Do use a literary agent? Do you recommended literary agents? Do you ever help want be writers break into the business?

Tami Hoag My advice to aspiring writers is to educate yourselves about the business of publishing. Do some good old fashioned research on how to get published, on how the editorial process works. It's not enough to be able to tell a story if you don't know where and how to try to sell it. You need to know what market you're writing for, what publishers produce the kind of book you're writing. I do have an agent but I don't recommend specific agents because that's a very individual choice depending on what you need and what you write. I don't mentor other writers because my job is write my books. That's where all my attention needs to be.
