Hello, John- I was wondering how you came up with the idea for 'The Firm' and what it was like writing it?

John Grisham The inspiration goes back to law school. One of my close friends was a top student and highly recruited. After a visit to a small firm he said it felt like once you joined the firm you never left. Alive. That stuck with me. Ten years later I wrote the story.
