Miles is famously allergic to fastpenta. In 'Shards of Honor' Cordelia seems to have a similar if milder reaction to the airborne sedative in the therapists office. Is that a genetic trait that got passed on to Miles? Any any relation to the haute ladies genetically engineered resistance to truth drugs?

It is dimly possible that Cordelia's reaction and Miles's reaction have related underlying genetic traits, though Miles, as we know, has idiosyncratic fetal development. Re: the haut ladies, anybody's guess, though there is the possibility of convergent evolution. Though they had to start from somewhere.

As former fellow____________( Columbusite, Columbuser, Columbusonian, etc, etc), I feel like I've seen some interesting and familiar settings in your work, particularly in The Sharing Knife. In the Vorkosigan Saga, I always picture Impsec headquarters as looking a bit like the nihilistic Ohio Historical Society in Columbus. A) Are you familiar with this building? B) If so, am getting it right?

I’m wondering about this: “It bothered him extremely that he could not now remember the man's name, though he had spoken, hypocritically, at his funeral.” In The Warriors Apprentice, Miles seemed to have eschewed speaking at the dead pilot’s funeral. Am I missing something? Rob Yale

I've been seeing comments by other authors about fake, AI-written books being published on Amazon with their name attached. Is this something that you've seen or experienced? Have you given thought to trademarking your name to give you additional ammo against the e-book sites if someone does start trying to publish fake books under your name?
