Lois McMaster Bujold:
I was rereading The Warrior's Apprentice, and Bothari's impassioned speech just before he was killed really struck me. I never felt empathy for that character before, but his desperate wish was to be buried at the foot of Cordelia's grave. In Gentleman Jole, Cordelia is moving forward with life on Sergyar. Does she plan for her eventual remains to be interred on Sergyar, or on Barrayar?

I don't actually know what she and Jole will finally decide. I presently see her living actively into her late 140s, with Jole keeping up, thanks to Mark's Fountain of Middle Age. Jole, barely managing to keep his promise, won't be more than a year behind her in death, though. She will at that point have given 4 decades to Barrayar, but 7 decades to Sergyar. (I do hope she can get that planet renamed at some point, but I've no idea to what.) Wherever they end up, it will be together. I can see them wishing to rejoin Aral, but it may not be entirely up to them at that point but rather, to their many descendants. Miles, the other person who would care the most, will be long gone by that time.

Lois McMaster Bujold:
I really enjoy listening to the audiobooks, especially the novellas and I have kinda of fallen in love with Grover Gardner's voice. He is really good at expressing the humor and sarcasm that I love in your writing. Is there hope that he would narrate a new audiobook version of the Curse of Chalion or none whatsoever ? (kinda of hopping to suggest the idea if it's not already there ^^)

Lois McMaster Bujold:
Are Kou and Drou’s four daughters the luck of the draw or a deliberate choice? Would knowing how dire the sex ratio had become outweigh the cultural pressure of wanting a son to carry on the family name? Or did they not want to subject a commoner son, no matter how close to the Regent, to having to compete with Vor sons for the available women, given pressure to marry “up”?

Lois McMaster Bujold:
Lois, given that you are done with the saga of Miles, Cordelia, and all the other wonderful characters whose lives (we imagine) continue, would you ever consider passing the baton (or the pen/keyboard) to another writer? Giving the characters and their offspring the opportunity to continue and those of us who enjoy them the opportunity to witness what they become?
