I was wondering what led to the shift in Sub Majer's Challenge to remove the conflict with Saelora's mom regarding Alykkial's consorting and how that impacted the book?

Time... and the fact that Saelora isn't suited to anyone else, that Alyiakal is now a senior officer and holds the same rank that Saelora's father did, and that Alyiakal is part of the reason Saelora's successful, not to mention that the two love each other.

From Isolate, in chapter 99, Steffan Dekard and Avrall Ysella have lunch with Laurenz Korriah and Shaundara Keppel, and it is important to know that they on the staff of Landour representative Kharl Navione, who is on the security committee. Do you have a list of all characters that you can share?
