✪ JY ✪ (conans version)(Semi-Hiatus) asked Neil deGrasse Tyson:

I enjoyed your book - "Astrophysics for Young People in a Hurry" as a young person what steps could I take in high school to pursue a career in astrophysics or astronomy?

Neil deGrasse Tyson Thanks. Take extra math classes. Math is the language of the universe. Its was not invited to torment students. Entire branches of mathematics were invented to solve previously unsolved problems in the universe. Note, for example, that geometry come from the Greek: "Earth Measurement".

Not all math will come equally easily to you. In fact it may all be hard. But there's very little in life worth achieving that did not involve a struggle. To quote President Kennedy in 1962: We choose to go to the Moon...not because it's easy, but because it's hard.

Good luck, sometimes you needs a little of that too.
