L R asked Stuart Gibbs:

how do you come up with book titles?

Stuart Gibbs There is no one way that this happens. Occasionally, I come up with the title very quickly after I come up with the book idea, as was the case with Spy School or Space Case. But more often, the title is just about the last thing that is written in the book. And sometimes, it's the one part of the book that the author doesn't write. I get input from lots of people for possible titles, especially for the FunJungle series. Titles can come from friends, people at the publishing company and even family members of friends. That said, I NEVER come up with a title and then decide to write a book based on that. So when people write to me with a title idea that they think I should base a book on, they should know that will never work out.
