Introducing him as having attempted suicide and then axing him from both his family AND the story seemed very disregarding on multiple levels. It bothered me a lot!

We don't know what happened to Mia or her husband, because this book is Phoebe's story, not theirs. Matt's affair was just the catalyst that set things in motion, & as Phoebe's story played out, Matt, Mia, & her husband all became irrelevant.

No idea- very strange that it was not mentioned since he and Mia have a baby together so he very likely is still in the picture.
