Tyler asked Lois McMaster Bujold:

I recently finished listening to all 19 episodes of, "My Word as Vorkosigan," on the podcast Plot Trysts. I greatly enjoyed them. A big thank you to hosts Alex and Meg! And a wonderful idea that they included other published authors as guests to discuss your work. But my favorite episode was when they interviewed you. Have You listened to any/all of the podcast episodes? And if so, what did you take away from it?

Lois McMaster Bujold
I listened to them all, and enjoyed them very much!

Take aways, hm. Certainly I was impressed again with what a wide geographic and generational range of readers find and enjoy my books, over what seems a heartening stretch of time. (So maybe I won't disappear after my decade, whichever decade one supposes it to be.) Also, what I have also learned from years of reading reviews, that any reader's reaction to a work will tell you more about them than it does about the work. Very transactional, that.

(Also, that unicorns are not the only vain beasts that may be ensnared with mirrors. Writers, too...)

Don't overlook the appended Discord chat group, for folks who want to continue the discussions. I believe the directions for accessing it may be found on the Plot Trysts site. (Or readers who have succeeded could chime in with directions in the comments here.)

Ta, L.
