Michael J. Sullivan:
I love that there is a new Riyria book, thank you! Will "Drumindor" eventually be released in a paperback edition like the other books in the series?
Michael J. Sullivan
It will. We are still "on the press" with the hardcover edition - and hope to have them in the warehouse around late February early March, but about 9 months to one year after that is available for sale we'll have the paperback editions available. Marc Simonetti will be doing the illustration in January - and the cover will match the other trade paperbacks in format (1/2 "colored panel" and 1/2 image. But it will look more like Death of Dulgath and Disappearance of Winter's daughter than The Crown Tower and The Rose and Thorn. In other words a landscape with "small characters" rather than big photograph images of "actors" - who in our opinion - don't look like either Royce or Hadrian.

Hello. I was wondering if there is any way for someone to contact you. I understand that as an author you must get loads of fan mail and questions but for someone who wish to ask you certain specific question which are not related to the books you have written, how would one go about it? If you would like I can email you or if you choose I can give you my email address.

Hi, Michael! I'm reading Wintertide at the moment and the whole series is absolutely brilliant! (I am not saying this in order to flatter you only to get my question answered, I really mean it!) So the question - If someone is trying to write a book, but in the same time is reading books he is loving and are inspiring him, will this affect the book he is writting in a way either as a story or atmosphere?

I share the joy that is your work every chance I get. Have you ever thought about turning your world into a role playing game campaign setting for games like Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder? I know someone who would likely be very interested in taking on the project if you are interested in exploring the idea. And I for one would love to have my own adventures in your world.
