Stella Coulson asked E.J. Stevens:

Would you ever want a tv or film adaptation of your work, and if so which would you prefer (personally I'd l love an anime done of mine)? Would seeing your vision different to what you envisioned by irksome or would you keep your book and their film separate in your mind?

E.J. Stevens I've had many requests from fans, but, sadly, Hollywood hasn't made an offer yet. I agree with fans that the Ivy Granger world books (Ivy Granger Psychic Detective series and the Hunters' Guild series) would make a fantastic film or TV series. Bloodsucking vampires, psychotic faeries, and a snarky, kick-butt heroine—done well, in the same vein as Supernatural, Arrow, Vampire Diaries, and The Originals, the world of Ivy Granger would make an addictive, thrilling, urban fantasy series.

As you can see from my Spirit Guide series Pinterest board (https://www.pinterest.com/ejstevensau...), I believe an anime adaptation of my young adult paranormal series would be fantastic. While the book series has ended, there are definitely more stories to be told of Yuki and her friends. I'd love to work with a studio on an adaptation of this series.

Thank you for your question. Perhaps, we'll look back at this Q+A someday, and try to imagine a time when these series didn't conjure images of our favorite actors and actresses. That would be truly wonderful.
