Dear Samantha Young, since you manage to produce so many great stories (with compelling characters worth reading over and over again) at such high rate, I wonder how you do that and still have a life? Any advice you can give to (aspiring) writers to keep up such high quality production rate? Many thanks, Helen

Hi Helen,
Thank you so much. I am very much a planner which really helps not only with the development of the character and the plot, but also with deadlines. I write out character profiles, history etc, plot summary, and individual chapter summaries before I start writing the book. This gives me a really good outline to work with and makes the writing of the book a faster and smoother process. Moreover, I set myself a daily work count. It used to be 5K but that was perhaps putting too much pressure on myself so I do 3K now. That gives me the time I need to run my social media and have a personal life. It's about structure and discipline for me so I stick to my deadline. It's different for every author but this is definitely the best way for me. Hope it helps!

Hey Samantha ! As always I'm in love with your new release"The One Real Thing " and can't wait to witness Bailey and Vaughn's story... But I was wondering have you thought about clashing the worlds of your two series ? I don't know maybe like ODS characters or Charlie and Jake from Into The Deep ( I miss them so much ) comes for a vacation or something in Boardwalk?

Hello! One of my utmost favorite scenes in a book comes from Before Jamaica Lane in the form of a flashback when Olivia is cooking a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in honor of her mom. Is there a particular scene in one of your books that is your favorite or really resonated with you when you wrote it? Also, what food or dish do you associate with your own family traditions?
