Hi Megan, Just finished The Madman's Daughter and really enjoyed! I was wondering what made you want to write these retellings of classic works, and out of the three books in The Madman's Daughter trilogy, which one has been the most difficult for you to write? PS. Not relevant to the question but I love all the covers in the trilogy, they're beautiful; yet, at the same time really dark and mysterious. :)

Megan Shepherd Thank you! I love the covers too. I think HarperCollins' designers did a beautiful job with those. The hardest book to write was HER DARK CURIOSITY. I think middle books are often the most challenging because they don't have the novelty of the first book or the satisfying end of the third.
