A Goodreads user asked Heather Demetrios:

Hi Heather!! I loved Exquisite Captive and CAN'T WAIT until the next book comes out!! Now, I was wondering: when you first submitted your MS to an agent, did you have the list of jinn castes/gods at the beginning of it? Or did your editor tell you to put them in after you got a contract? I've seen a lot of fantasies that do that (Shadow and Bone comes to mind) and I was just wondering :) Aspiring author here. lol.

Heather Demetrios Hey! I had them at the end and my editor suggested they go at the beginning. I think it can be really helpful for readers, especially when you have a really complex world. I know a lot of people that don't read the front matter, but at least it gives people an option. It really depends on the book. Hope that helps!
