I imagine that most people at some point experience pain so unbearable they may contemplate ending their lives in order to find a relief from it. I certainly did think about suicide when I was younger. Suicidal thoughts are symptomatic of pervasive and very destructive depression, an emotional and psychological state that distorts logic and prevents us from seeing life for what it is, what it means, and how we connect to it. I hope that in addition to reading, you are seeking help from professionals and in the support of loving family and friends.
