Hi, Michael. I had a short backstory to this question but it would not fit, so I'll cut to the chase. What is your opinion on a business model like Kickstarter which focuses entirely on publishing? It is an idea I have nurtured for some years now and would very much like to already exist for me to browse.

Yes, there is such a thing. It's called
PubSlush
(which, personally, I think isn't the best name - as "slush" to me is generally the unwanted manuscripts).
Pubslush also offers a way that people can pre-order books, which is kinda a nice feature.
Of the two, I still prefer Kickstarter...mainly because it has a huge community that is always on the prowl for cool stuff. I had a huge number of people who contributed to my Kickstarter that hadn't read any of my books before -- they just got wrapped up in the excitement of the project.
In any case, I do like to support crowd funding for books so I'll be checking out Pubslush from time to time.

This is kind of a question, and I really don't know where else to put it or if I should, but you're an author that interacts frequently, consistently, and well with your readers (me included) https://kimharrison.wordpress.com/2015/10/12/you-only-hurt-the-one-you-love/ Is there anyway that people who don't hugely use social media can help besides just buy a couple of books and tell a few friends that you know of?
